Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Gumus is a prominent cardiovascular surgeon specializing in minimally invasive, endoscopic, and robotic heart surgery. He is currently serving at Memorial Healthcare Group, one of Türkiye’s most prestigious medical institutions, where he performs a wide range of complex cardiac procedures with a focus on innovation, safety, and optimal patient recovery.
Dr. Gumus works in close collaboration with Prof. Dr. Mustafa Serkan Durdu, leading advanced cardiac programs that push the boundaries of conventional surgery. His expertise includes robotic mitral valve repair, aortic valve replacement, tricuspid valve interventions, robotic myectomy, and redo cardiac surgeries through minimally invasive approaches.
He is one of the key organizers of the annual Cardiac Memorial symposium, an internationally recognized event that brings together pioneers in robotic and endoscopic cardiac surgery. Now entering its fourth year, the symposium features live surgeries and high-level academic discussions aimed at sharing and developing the latest techniques in the field.
In addition to his clinical and organizational roles, Dr. Gumus is deeply involved in surgical education. He contributes to the training of national and international surgeons through hands-on courses, live case broadcasts, and academic mentorship.
